St Nicholas’ Churchyard

IMG_1069
Outside, the churchyard of St Nicholas’, Worth contains many ancient tombstones, hardly decipherable now.

Click here to see a sheet we have produced detailing some areas of interest around the churchyard.

If you are researching your family tree and need to find out about an ancestor, we may be able to help, so do email us on history@worthparish.org

To the left of the west door is the grave of Robert Whitehead, inventor of the torpedo, and great grandfather of the original Von Trapp Family Singers made famous by the film “The Sound of Music”.

Every Monday, volunteers maintain the grounds, for which we are very grateful. Why not come and see which flowers the changing seasons bring?
