Funerals

Bereavement
If you would like a member of the Clergy to visit you following a bereavement, you can:

  • Email us on office@worthparish.org
  • Call the office on 0300 111 8150
  • Call the clergy directly. Father Michael is contactable Tuesday-Sunday on 01293 882229, Revd Sarah is contactable Tuesday-Sunday on 01293 524804. We also have assistant clergy who can help you.

Funeral Services
A funeral is used to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express g2lilyandcrossrief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping.

Most funerals, cremations and burial of ashes services are organised through your Funeral Director who will contact us if you wish a member of the Clergy from the Parish to officiate, or if you wish to have a service within the Parish.

If you wish to have a service in the Parish, we have a choir and organist to help lead the music if required, subject to availability.

If you would like information on funeral directors in the area or wish to discuss a funeral in either of our churches or the crematorium, please contact us.

Headstones

No new stones are now permitted in our old churchyard, unless to replace an existing one. However, from October 2020, St Nicholas’ has a new Garden of Remembrance accepting new stones. Your funeral director will have all the details or you can contact us. You can also donate to the planting of this area in memory of a loved one. Click here for more details.
