Albert Hole, Private G/18335 of the 13th (Service) Battalion (3rd South Down) Royal Sussex Regiment, was born in Worth about 1877 and was a house painter living in Flint Lodge, Tilgate before he enlisted in Chichester.
The son of James and Ann Hole, he was killed in action on 27th September 1917 at ‘Tower Hamlets’ and is additionally commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial.
