5 garden visits for £5 – Sunday 8th June 2025
What: 5 local gardens (three in Worth, two in Maidenbower) are having open days. These are members of the church, not professional gardeners, but keen gardeners with very different styles. The £5 is a single ticket giving admission to all five gardens.
Why: A
s part of the 1050th Anniversary of St. Nicholas, we’re raising money for the organ restoration appeal.
When: Sunday 8th June, starting around 1115 (after the morning church service!), closing at 1600.
Where: Starting at Worth Rectory, Church Road, Worth, RH10 7RT, where there are ticket sales, a plant sale, refreshments and toilet facilities. The details of the other four gardens are available on the day.
Who: We’re calling the gardeners: The Rector, The Crucifer, The Organist, The (retired) Doctor and The (retired) Professor, all members of the church… the visitors hopefully include you.
The legal bit: These are just private gardens open to raise money, so don’t have any facilities on site, and the houses aren’t open as part of this.
Not all the gardens are wheelchair accessible.
Some gardens contain sharp bits and poisonous plants. So it’s really important that children are supervised at all times.
