Lent course starts on Saturday

Our Lent course this year uses the film “Chocolat” (adapted from Joanne Harris’ novel) as a catalyst for exploring profound themes concerning God, the world, and the essence of humanity.

It is recommended that you see the film first. Then come along to St Barnabas’ at 1pm on these Saturdays:

  • 2 March
  • 9 March
  • 16 March
  • 23 March

Each session starts with soup and bread then we will look at and discuss clips from the film.

Our Lent course this year uses the film “Chocolat” (adapted from Joanne Harris’ novel) as a catalyst for exploring profound themes concerning God, the world, and the essence of humanity.

Prior viewing of the film is recommended, and we are showing it on Saturday 17 February 2024 at St Barnabas’, open to all. For those unable to attend, we offer DVDs for borrowing.

Following the film showing, we will meet:

  • 2 March
  • 9 March
  • 16 March
  • 23 March

Each session will start with soup and bread at 1pm then the study will comprise film excerpts and an informal group discussion.
