Parishioner Profiles (in Isolation) – Caroline

Caroline writes that in the first week of isolation she celebrated her birthday. “All a bit strange without being able to go for a delicious meal, as is our birthday tradition, but my fantastic girls made this delicious cake and cooked a yummy roast.

I also saw this thought-provoking poem by Kitty O’Meara (below) which she wrote about the situation we are currently in and which has been widely shared online. This poem comforted me in this first week of not knowing where this is all going.”

A former chaplain, O’Meara says. “I saw going viral as a gift to me. I was able to offer spiritual care. We all have gifts. It’s a good reminder that whatever your gift is, and however small it is, keep using it. This is a really good time for that.”

Caroline sends best wishes and hugs to all.  Tell us about your isolation, email hello@worthparish.org
