Pie Jesu, from the Fauré Requiem

Music

From their isolation, our Director of Music, Alex and local singer Sophia have kindly recorded for us the Pie Jesu from Fauré’s Requiem. Originally our plan was to invite you to rehearse from September for a performance of this Requiem on 31 October 2020. We will let you know if that plan becomes possible again, but in the meantime, enjoy their video.

Concerts, Music, Pewsheets

We were so lucky to welcome to St Nicholas’, young pianist Katie Yao Morgan who played a piano recital for us on Thursday, after the usual 10.30 Eucharist service.

Katie, a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, now studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and was able to arrange this concert for us in her half-term.  Katie played
Beethoven Sonata op.78, Schumann’s Humoreske and Kabalevsky’s Rondo to the universal enjoyment of all watching.
